Heat Deflector/ Air Gap Mod

  • This mod is essential if you have a thousand inch barrel or if you have any of the Pit Boss models we have listed here.
  • Allows your controller temperature probe / RTD probe to read the actual barrel temps instead of the heat/air blowing up from fire pot underneath the main broiler plate directly onto your probe.
  • Less temperature swings - this means better, easier cooks.
  • Reduces fly ash throughout barrel.

Original 2-Window Flame Tamer

  • Great for facing openings either side to side, front to back, or even diagonal to help even out temps across your grates.
  • Gets rid of the hotspot over fire pot.
  • Reduces fly ash throughout barrel.

4-Window Flame Tamer

  • You can face the big openings front to back or side to side.
  • Helps even out temps across your grates.
  • Designed for maximum air/heat flow in all directions.
  • Gets rid of the hotspot over the fire pot.
  • Reduces fly ash throughout barrel.

NEW Shorty Flame Tamer

  • Same as the 4-Window Flame Tamer but fits Lexington and combo units.

3-Window Flame Tamer

  • If you have major temperature differences side to side, then this tamer is great for facing the closed side towards your hot side.
  • Gets rid of the hotspot over the fire pot.
  • Reduces fly ash throughout barrel.

NEW Broiler Plate Baffles

These baffles lay on the edge of your broiler plate and reduce the huge gap between the barrel and broiler plate. This will allow you to cook around the edges of your main grate without burning your food.

  • Minimizes heat blowing up through the large gap.
  • Maximizes main grate cooking space.
  • Reduces fly ash throughout the barrel.
  • Helps even out temps on the main grate and throughout the barrel.
